Alessandro S. Spinelli has been conducting scientific research in micro and nanoelectronics and electronics instrumentation since 1992. Among the pursued research interests we can list single-photon detectors, quantum effects simulation in scaled MOSFETs, MOS gate oxide reliability, Flash memory characterization and modeling for reliability, support on technology development of innovative memories, and modeling of AMR magnetic field sensors.
Current research interests are focused on non-volatile memory technologies with emphasis on NAND Flash.
The research activity is conducted in tight collaboration with major international companies and research centers and takes place within the frame of several National and European research projects. A summary of the active research lines can be found in the relative page.

A. S. Spinelli is co-author of 3 international patents and has published more than 200 papers on international journals or conference proceedings. Recent publications (updated randomly) are listed here.
